Active construction site - no walkability to cafés, restaurants, shops. Positive: I’m giving this a 2/10 mainly because the lifeguard was very friendly and always greeted me with a warm smile and the gym was well equipped. Unfortunately, there was far too much unnecessary troubleshooting throughout the stay for what should have been a straightforward experience. Negative: Several issues made this stay very disappointing. One bedside lamp was broken, the iron didn’t work, and there was no kitchen bin or bin bags on arrival (these were only provided after I raised it). The apartment is also next to ongoing construction, with constant loud noise throughout the day from as early as 7/8 am! There is a continuous buzzing sound coming from the gas meter in the kitchen, which makes it difficult to relax. Water pressure is very low, and the air conditioning is locked to very cold settings (around 18°C - too cold for me) and resets itself even if you try to change it or switch it off — I woke up freezing every morning. The kitchen setup is poorly designed with almost no usable counter space. The pillows were very hard and uncomfortable, and the bed blanket had a noticeable smell and needs proper cleaning. The apartment itself had a strong human smell and could have done with proper ventilation or room spray. The balcony is totally unusable due to heavy dust from the nearby construction that accumulates daily. I suspect this may have been a show studio at some point — while the photos show a modern interior, the apartment fails in almost every practical sense. If you want to stay in a building in the middle of an active construction site, with views of cranes and constant noise, and no walkability to cafés, restaurants, shops, or pedestrian areas, this is the place for you!While other parts of Meydan are more developed with street pavements, this building is completely removed from there. Overall, the number of issues made the stay uncomfortable and frustrating.
