Positive: The location is great: a quiet area with cafés and a supermarket nearby, a pleasant urban environment, and the beautiful campus of New York University. Negative: The kitchen was dirty, especially the stove, and the bathrooms were uncomfortable due to bad smells, constantly accumulating water, and damaged mosquito screens. The apartment also has too much decorative styling that looks good only in photos (artificial books, flowers, etc.). It was also disappointing that pre-existing scratches on the iron and damage to a dresser door were deducted from the deposit. I would strongly recommend checking everything carefully upon arrival, taking photos of any existing damage, and sending them to the landlord to avoid similar unpleasant situations.
